Private boating day with wildlife viewing and beach time Finding a boat tour that keeps both parents and kids happy is a gamble, but this private beach trip was a total win. Usually, these things can feel a bit “touristy” or rushed, but having a private boat meant we could actually set the pace.
The real highlight was our host. They were incredibly personable and were able to keep the kids engaged without being over-the-top. Instead of just pointing at landmarks, they were pointing out sea life, telling stories, and making the kids feel like they were part of the crew.
We spent the afternoon hopping between quiet, secluded beaches that we never would have found on our own. Having a home base on the sand where the kids could run wild while we actually relaxed for a second was exactly what we needed. If you’re looking for a day on the water that’s low-stress and high-fun this is it.

Fantastic family boat cruise We had an amazing time with Coastal Friends Boat Tours. Our group included both adults and kids, and the crew made every single one of us feel welcome and taken care of. They were incredibly friendly and spent the trip teaching us about the local wildlife and nature around the area, which made the cruise even more special.

The boat itself was spotless, new, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. They even let us play whatever music we wanted, which added a fun, personal touch to the whole experience.

Swimming with the fishes This was one of the most memorable days ever! I expected a pleasant day but was rewarded with wonderful experiences seeing dolphins, a hammerhead shark (very rare), an osprey nest with nestlings, plenty of birds, shells and snorkeling. The captain and his first mate (his lovely wife) gave us a day to always remember, anticipating all our wants and needs. I can’t recommend this trip enough!

Lasting memory My family and I had the most amazing time with Aldo and Damaris. We saw so many dolphins, manatee, and a jumping sting ray. Spent time at an island that is just forming. The shelling is the best I have ever seen, as it is a brand new island. Aldo and Damaris share their incredible knowledge of the area. They were so patient and kind with the grandkids. Such a beautiful day that will that will be a lasting memory. After taking many excursions, this has been the best. Out of 1-10, they get a 15.

The wildlife definitely showed off for us… dolphins, a manatee, and that stingray jumping like that was pretty wild. And that little island is something else right now. Hard to beat shelling like that. There’s really nothing like it in Southwest Florida. Still, what stood out most for us was your lovely family. Your grandkids are so stinking cute!
